Duane Olthof 1928-2011

It's taken a year and a half for me to realize that, while there will be more birthdays at the Olthofs, Duane will no longer be there in person.

He will, of course, be there in spirit.  Here, he was entertaining us in his Florida Room that he built himself, bit by bit over the years.  It used to be the roof of their garage.  Then he made it into a covered porch.  Then he installed windows.  Finally he sealed it from the weather and put in a door that goes out onto his deck.

Hey Duane, I finally remembered!  We are taking care of your girl Carol, and she still takes care of your house and home.  You will be amused to notice that I now spar with her, although she gives it back in spades.

Bet you knew that.  You are in my prayers.
